Musubi ("the Service") is a Shinto culture education app that respects user privacy and is committed to the proper handling of personal information. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect, how we use it, and the measures we take to protect it.
Article 1 — Information We Collect
The Service collects the following information:
1. Account Information
- Email address (used for login and notifications)
- Display name (used for profile)
- Profile photo URL (optional)
2. Learning Data
- Learning progress (completed lessons, quiz scores)
- Consecutive learning days (streaks)
- Learning path selections
3. AI Kannushi Conversation History
- Messages entered by the user
- AI Kannushi responses
- Conversation timestamps
4. Technical Information
- Device information (OS type, version)
- Access logs (IP address, access time)
- App usage data
Article 2 — Purpose of Use
Collected information is used for the following purposes:
- Account creation, authentication, and management
- Recording, displaying, and supporting continued learning progress
- Answering questions about Shinto culture via AI Kannushi
- Improving service quality and features
- Ensuring security and preventing unauthorized use
- Responding to inquiries
- Fulfilling legal obligations
Article 3 — Disclosure to Third Parties
The Service will not provide user personal information to third parties except in the following cases:
- When the user has given consent
- When disclosure is required by law
- When necessary to protect life, body, or property
Article 4 — External Services
The Service uses the following external services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Article 5 — Data Retention
- Account information and learning data: retained until account deletion
- AI Kannushi conversation history: most recent 50 entries (older entries are automatically deleted)
- Access logs: 90 days
Article 6 — Solana Wallet & Tokens
The Service plans to offer integration with the Solana blockchain (NFT Goshuin, MUSUBI tokens) in the future. When using wallet features, your wallet address will be stored in the Service's database. Transaction information on the blockchain is public and falls outside the scope of this policy.
Article 7 — Security
The Service implements appropriate security measures to protect collected information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, and alteration, including SSL/TLS encryption, Row-Level Security (RLS), and access controls. However, complete security on the internet cannot be guaranteed.
Article 8 — Your Rights
Users have the following rights:
- Access and review personal information
- Correct and update personal information (from in-app profile settings)
- Request account and data deletion (please contact us)
- Request cessation of personal information use
Article 9 — Cookies
The Service's website may use cookies for user authentication. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may be limited as a result.
Article 10 — Changes to This Policy
This policy may be revised in response to changes in laws or the Service. Users will be notified of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after revision constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
